If you are reading this guide, then that means you have been accepted or are in the process of being accepted into the Military branch of the Lambda Resistance. Firstly, your superiors would like to both thank and congratulate you for passing the training course and doing your part to fight for the freedom of both yourself and others. However, they also want to make you aware of the potential dangers that you may face while serving in our forces, which is why this guide was created. The purpose of this guide is to inform you of your duties throughout your service to the resistance, how to deal with potential dangers and what you can expect during your time here. If you have any questions relating to this guide or any other topics about the Resistance, please consult a Commanding Officer. Thank you.
All Personnel should remember to keep their guides with them at all times. Report the loss or damage of a guide to a Commanding Officer immediately.
Lambda Resistance Military Ranking Structure
In order to maintain order, discipline and organise our operations effectively, we have a clear chain of command. Anyone in the Resistance Forces can aim to achieve as a high a rank as they are comfortable with and various training schemes have been put in place to ensure that all personnel can reach their potential.
Executive Personnel - Full Clearance
1) Chairman - Executive member of the Lambda Council. They organise both our military and civilian operations in a Resistance Cell. These officials will be democratically elected if the Cell becomes big enough.
2) Councillor - There are four Council members who organise and make important decisions about both military and civilian operations. The military may elect two council representatives from their forces and they can be of any rank. Civilian personnel may do the same. While they will be granted extra authority and permissions, they will still be expected to carry out their regular duties and contribute as much as they can to the community.

Lambda Resistance Military Formations and Discipline
It is important to remember that despite everything that has happened, the Lambda Resistance is still a professional military force dedicated to fighting and eradicating the greatest threat to humanity - The Combine. We can't do this without helping our soldiers to maintain focus on their duties and sometimes discipline them when they do something wrong. It is important to remember that you must not question the orders of your superiors and you should always salute Executive personnel and Commanding Officers when you see them. Remember, respect everyone at the base and avoid disputes with fellow soldiers.
Remember...
1) Salute Commanding Officers and Executive Personnel when you see them.
2) Respect everyone in the camp, especially civilian personnel.
3) Call fellow soldiers by their ranks, not by their first name. This is for their safety.
4) Do not fire unless fired upon or if ordered to by a commanding officer.
5) Never question orders. Trust your superiors.
6) Do not leave the base without permission from a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer or above.
7) Use common sense.
8) Try not to get yourself killed.
As well as those basic, yet fundamental rules, we have a list of basic formations that you will be expected to follow both when in and out of base.
1) Line - Stand shoulder to shoulder in a horizontal line.
2) Column - Stand one behind the other in a vertical line.
3) Arrow/Wedge - Form a triangular shape. Similar to the points of an arrow.
4) Diamond Formation - Form a box around a prisoner/VIP.
5) Stack - Position yourself next to a door.
6) Attention - Stand at attention and salute - if it's a commanding officer.
7) At ease - Return to a casual stance after standing at attention.
Firing Code
Firstly, your commander will say 'Ready Weapons'. This means you should take your weapon off of safety and direct it towards your target. Once you have done this, you need to respond with either: 'Green', if your weapon has ammo and you are ready to fire. 'Yellow', if your weapon is low on ammo (around 3 mags left) or if your weapon is damaged. 'Red' if your weapon has no ammo or if you are not ready to fire.
Secondly, your commander will say 'Take Aim' followed by either 'Kill' or 'Maime'. Your commander will say 'Take Aim, Kill' if he wants you to aim for the chest or the head. Your commander will say 'Take aim, Maime' if he wants you to aim for the legs or arms.
Finally, your commander will say 'Fire at will' followed by however many shots he wants you to fire. At this point, you are allowed to fire.
